Edit /boot/grub/menu.lst, go for line that looks like kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.24-16-generic root=UUID=29431061-d88b-456a-980e-76c187a1ef70 ro quiet splash and add an extra parameter mem=xxM where the xx is the amount of your system memory in megabytes, the space reserved for integrated display adapter reducted. That should do the trick, just do not put too high number there.
