It would not surprise me at all if it had the same issue, see if
installing the nvidia driver manually (from nvidia.com) works. Or did
you set the gaussian radius to something higher than 15 somehow? If
neither one of those helps please open a new bug as this one is already
tainted with the shadow issues so people will keep posting about those
in it.
