Public bug reported:

Distribution Upgrade from gusty to hardy kicked off via system -> update
manager (old version: Linux media 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Tue Feb 12
07:42:25 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux), it eventually puts up a window titled
"debconf on media" that has only one line of text and a checkbox before
it:

[ ] Please manually modify your configuration files! Continue? [Help]

... and of course, there is a <Next> button

1. Clicking help provides more information about nut, but provides no useful
information if checkbox should be clicked or not
2. The <back> button is grayed out (why not remove it completely if it isn't an
option?)
3. I clicked next once without checking the check box. It spend 10 minutes
upgrading various things and now the same window has popped back. This time
I'm checking the box
4. This reminds me of the famous windows or MAC dialog boxes that say something
like "about to crash. OK?" except its worse because now you have a checkbox
you have to decide to click or not

/etc$ apt-cache policy debconf
debconf:

  Version table:
 *** 1.5.20 0

        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Version after upgrade: Linux media 2.6.24-16-generic #1 SMP Thu Apr 10

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
