Since Ubuntu 8.10 RC the cooling fan on my HP Omnibook 6100 does not work. Now
i have reinstalled the system with the official 8.04 alternate cd (completly
blank system), but nothing changed.
Before (Feisty->Gutsy-> Hardy beta) it worked well.
Under Hardy RC i was able to manually start the Fan after installing
Omnibook module from the terminal, so there's no hardware failure... The
fan works also during boot just to the moment grub starts.
The Processor goes up to 60°C (sensors applet).
