Actually, for me this is a 32 bit issue. I really doubt it has anything to do with the bit in the processor. It seems that when the brightness is dark, and I try to press the button to make it brighter, it jumps right to full. When I get my computer back and fixed. I will test if the brightness jumps to other levels too.
