Public bug reported: Binary package hint: debian-installer
When installing on an old computer with Celeron 300A, PC Chips 726, P6BXT-A+ mainboard and 192 MB RAM, installation program fails to detect normal IDE CD-ROM - Nec CDR-1300, 6x speed. CD-ROM is connected as a secondary slave, this happens in (K)Ubuntu 7.10, Xubuntu 7.10, Kubuntu 8.04. I downloaded the driver - "NEC_IDE.SYS" and offered it to the installer, but the installer did not like it... ** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- cannot detect CD-ROM when installing from AlternateCD... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222131 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
