Alrighty, it's 8.04 launch day.  I grabbed a good copy of the new iso
from the net, burned it to a cd and checked to make sure it was a good
cd.  Did the install and rebooted.  Same thing happened again this time
except that it just dropped into busybox without any message.

I rebooted and started in the recovery mode, this time it dumped me out
back at the same place with the same message.  As I do not have a pre-
existing ubuntu install on the machine it is not possible to use an
older version of the kernel to start ubuntu.
