The fix will most certainly feature in 8.04.1, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will not be available as a regular update before. Ubuntu 8.04.1 can simply be thought of as a set of rebuilt ISOs to shave of the bugs that might have been left out. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
