Public bug reported: Binary package hint: debian-installer
I was doing some iso testing this evening for the final images prior to release and I found that the i386 installer can not reboot post- installation. It stalls at: Sending SIGKILL to all processes. Please standby while rebooting the system. [foo.foo] SD2:0:0:0: [sda] synchronizing SCSI cache [foo.foo] ACPI: PCI Interrupt for device 0000:0C:02.0 Disabled [foo.foo] Restarting System The machine must be powered down manually to be restarted. The amd64bit installer on the other hand (tested on the same hardware) rebooted just fine with no issues. This is on Dell Precision 490 N Series. See attached cpuinfo output. ** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: iso-testing -- [hardy RC] i386 installer can not reboot post-install on Dell Precision 490 N Series https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220820 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
