Unfortunately you are reporting a problem in an application that is not from the Ubuntu repositories and in such is not supported. Furthermore the problem is the implementation of ET. It could use proper Alsa or Pulseaudio out of the box, but instead of it the developers went back to 90s and worked with OSS (emulation layer in this case). As ET is closed source it is not possible to feasibly fix the problem.
