You might have a problem with "/usr/lib32/libGL.so.1.2" (notice is lib32 not lib) open this file --> sudo gedit /var/lib/dpkg/info/nvidia-glx-new.postrm I fixed this manually by adding comments before the lines that check existence of lib32 directory At least you will have synaptic working again...
