Binary package hint: update-manager-core
Hello there!
I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 with kernel 2.6.25. And i've got no sound. As far
as i remember, my sound card worked like charm 2 days ago.
Anyway:
"No volume control GStreamer plugins and/or devices found." but i've got
gstreamer installed, the problem can't be in this.
lspci gives: "00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation
82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 01)
"
and sound preferences gives: "audiotestsrc wave=sine freq=512 ! audioconvert !
audioresample ! gconfaudiosink profile=chat: Could not open audio device for
playback."
I can't handle it myself, so any kind of help would be nice.
