I realize that we are too close to release, but this information may be useful for Ibex.
I ran a comparison between -generic and -server kernel, my testcase is in comment #104 of bug #192888. In a nutshell, the generic kernel causes pulseaudio to stutter when playing multiple streams, but the server kernel does not.
