They told me to kick it back over here. This was not happening under gutsy. I can confirm all the same symptoms as Aicardi. NVidia graphics card with Compiz enabled. It does it on regular local tracks and last.fm streams. "Version: 1.4.9.1 (using KDE 3.5.9) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux I just upgraded to Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron RC yesterday. Amarok upgraded with it. Now while listening to tracks, the "Playing:" field in the status bar does not update correctly. It continuously overwrites itself but does not clear the field. Minimizing and restoring Amarok will cause it to refresh. The result of the overwriting is a bunch of garbled text overlayed upon itself. If I have the app active and on current display, it does update.
