I have more trouble with the ipw3945 driver being removed than just an LED problem:
Although iwl3945 works pretty well for me in general, it does not allow me to connect to my local university network with 802.1X encryption. I just started running Hardy, but I have to boot my old kernel to get wireless working here. Would be great if ipw3945 could be included in the official release (or even better: the iwl driver could get fixed, but this might be a longer term project).
