Zack,

All authorization and authentication for domain joins are handled by AD,
so, there is absolutely no way that likewise open could allow an
unauthorized user to join a domain. It, in fact, just passes the
request on to AD.

Something else must be happening here. Perhaps likewise believes a
domain join to successful, when it actually failed.

Join the domain form the command line using domainjoin-cli and post the
output. Also, what is the error you are seeing at login, if any? Is
anything being logged to syslog?
