Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
This bug is reproducible on my machine. When switching to the task view, I cannot copy tasks or even the text of individual tasks, neither from the individual table entries nor from the preview pane. Whenever I try to do this, evolution shuts down. It doesn't matter whether I use Ctrl-C or the Edit | Copy menu. Ubuntu doesn't seem to detect this as a crash, on restarting Evolution I get a message box stating "Evolution appears to have exited unexpectedly the last time it was run. (...)". The dialog has the buttons Ignore and Recover, both of which allow me to continue to work where I left off.
