I'm getting the same thing on 8.04 (Hardy Heron) RC while trying to
connect to a WEP protected wireless network.

I'm attaching a file containing the relevant output of lshw (I'm using
an intel wireless network card which uses the iwl4965 driver).

If there's anyone who knows of a workaround for this, please post it
here.
