Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

I've been using Hardy since beta and have seen this problem up through
today when I did a fresh install of the RC. I have an ATI HD2600 video
card and am using the fglrx driver. If I suspend my laptop and then
resume, compiz shows signs of corruption (shadows are rendered as
garbage). Whenever I try to quit Xorg (log off, shut down,
CTRL+ALT+Backspace) the computer hard locks and I am unable to even use
the ALT+SYSREQ combinations to restart. I have tried this with Catalyst
8.3 from the repositories and 8.4 with the same results.

Disabling compiz, suspend/resume works without a problem.

** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
