I gave in and used an init script with info from https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/197558/comments/14 and https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/197558/comments/16 . A better solution or a fix before release would be nice.
