Public bug reported:
In previous versions of Gnome, if I had a minimized application and I
clicked on it in the Window List, it would restore the window and
switch to the appropriate desktop. In the current version, it DOES
restore the window but does not go to the appropriate desktop making me
search all my desktops for the app.
