Quoting from bug #199562 which is marked duplicate: "When I suspend to disk (hibernate), everything behaves normally. When I resume, however, all I see is a white screen- no graphics, no distortion, no image of any kind. I am able to move the cursor around the screen normally, and in the middle it turns to a text entry cursor, so I click there and enter my password (which I do not see, no black dots or asterisks or anything) and press enter, at which point everything is back to normal. The white screen is the only problem, but it would be easy to think that the computer failed to resume properly."
