I've got the same chipset and while I'm getting audio out on my analog front channels I'm not hearing anything over the S/PDIF output. I've got IEC958 unmuted and tried varies IEC958 volumes. All other settings look sane. It appears I'm getting a PCM signal at my receiver and I occasionally hear short pops. I'm very interested in trying to get this sorted out so let me know how I can help.
