Sebastian, In the prop dia the type is mp3. Under preferred applications/multimedia I've selected Audacity. Rhythmbox is very buggy. Sometimes Rhythmbox launches when an mp3 is downloaded but most of the time Totem launches. Most of Rhythmboxes podcast features never work.
I've discovered one thing. If I download a file that is actually at the site I've selected, Audacity opens. If I download a file that isn't at the site but is actually a link provided to another site, then Totem is likely to launch. I hope that helps. Somehow the hand-off blows something up.
