@Jose Bernando

Any luck with compiling the alsa drivers from source? Still no sound for me.
It's strange cause all the alsa-utils and players seem to be working fine,
the device is being recognised correctly, alsamixer is working fine, nothing
is complaining about errors, however no sound is coming out from the
speakers or headphones..

The worst is that after removing the compiled alsa-modules and reverting
back to the standard kernel alsa-modules (with broken alsamixer) and still
no sound coming out!
