Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg-driver-fglrx

xorg-driver-fglrx says to conflict with nvidia-glx
and it indeed does conflict, because when I try to force the install with
--force-conflicts, it tells me a file is already diverted (symlink) by
nvidia-glx:

dpkg-divert: `diversion of /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.2 to
/usr/lib/fglrx/libGL.so.1.2.xlibmesa by xorg-driver-fglrx' clashes with
`diversion of /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.2 to /usr/lib/nvidia/libGL.so.1.2.xlibmesa by
nvidia-glx'
dpkg: error processing xorg-driver-fglrx_8.29.6-1_i386.deb (--install):
subprocess pre-installation script returned error exit status 2

What should be done to make dualhead with 1 fglrx card and 1 nvidia card
possible?

PS: I'm not having the problem myself, but I'm acting as a bridge
between you bugsquashers and my friend who is experiencing this problem

** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.17 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
