Public bug reported: Running Hardy x86_64, all the latest updates.
The oops happens sometimes on an attempt to go into standby mode. The laptop would refuse to sleep, and although it's still possible to log in into a tty, no application can be started. It's even impossible to shut it down cleanly. iwl3945 is at the top of the stack ** Affects: linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: kernel-oops -- Kernel oops: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 0000000000000000 RIP: memcpy_c+0xb/0x20 (probably caused by iwl3945) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216903 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
