Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mediatomb

I'm trying to create a headless server and found a fault.

I have had to install gnome and if I log on then start media tomb
/etc/init.d/mediatomb start I can add playlists.

But when I finish the server I dont want to log on. I edited
/etc/network.interfaces as per the ubuntu launchpad bug #212441 about
this, and now mediatomb launches automatically as a daemon. It uses the
/etc/mediatomb/config.xml rather than the one in /home/UserName I
assume?

But when running as a true daemon, It wont add playlists.

So to summarise.
When run from a command prompt from a user logon, presumably using
/home/UserName config file, I can add playlists
When run as a true daemon (after the bug fix above) using the /etc/mediatomb
config file, it wont add playlists.
The little eyes in web ui flashed red for a fraction of a second but nothing
happens.

Ubuntu 8.04 Beta
Mediatomb 0.11.0-1ubuntu1 (hardy)

Thanks
Jeff
