Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gcalctool
Try entering a long series of sums like '3.56+3.52+54.68+23.96+...' (I just used a bank statement as a source), for up to 20 or so terms. The display should start scrolling as you enter the terms in. After you finishing typing them all in, hit Enter to compute the sum. The display will come up blank. If you do Edit->Copy, and paste into a separate program like Text Editor, you will see the value computed, which is the correct value. This means that gcalctool is computing it correctly, just not displaying it correctly. I suspect that it just isn't scrolling the textbox back correctly. Done on Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04, with compiz/desktop effects enabled. Let me know if you need more details, but this should be easy to reproduce and fix. ** Affects: gcalctool Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: gcalctool (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gcalctool does not display sum in display field https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216689 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
