That option should be off by default (ie: it doesn't show the trailing
zeros by default).

Significant figures are something which should or should not be used
depending on the situation.  The significant figures of 2 / 3 is 1, so
.6  But, some might want to see .66666666 so as to know that it is a
repeating decimal.

In sum, the specific issue raised "trailing zeros" is invalid, as this
is not default behavior and is set via an option.

A feature request for "output answers in significant figures" could be
reported though, as a separate bug.  The best place for that feature
request is with the developers of the program:
