After reading your suggestion, I created a new profile and I'm still receiving two notifications.
The alarm settings for older events are still not showing up either, although they still seem to be working. After entering this bug originally, I also noticed that dismissing alarms didn't dismiss them (i.e. I would receive the same alarms the next time I started Sunbird and the list of active alarms grew over time.) I'm not sure if it's still doing this with the new profile yet, but I hope not, because it pretty much makes the alarm function worthless, if it doesn't recognize when it's being dismissed. Another thing to mention is that I also use Kontact with these calendar files, and have used Evolution in the past. I don't have any problems with either of them, or with Sunbird in Windows, so I lack any idea why I'm having problems with the Ubuntu package (didn't have a problem with the old mozilla package either.) I've been using Sunbird since version 0.2 and this is the first time I've seen anything like it. Finally, I believe I found something indicating this was a bug, with either the Ubuntu package or with the current version of Sunbird, but I forgot to mention it until now and can't recall where I saw it, unfortunately. It may have been filed elsewhere already, but I'll have to look. -- Duplicate alarm notification windows https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/202679 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
