Sorry, but I think another ad- on is necessary. I tried to play streaming news media from the net this morning. Colour was fine. I thought the problem was fixed and played movie. Colour was still way off. (Same as above). I returned to the news stream and that also had changed back to the purple and green. This only has happened after one of the updates. I do not believe that it has anything to do with my Nvidia card. I have been running Ubuntu since Edgy (on the same computer) and have never experienced anything like this before. Other people have similar experiences. I do care about Linux and I believe that Ubuntu currently is the best Distro to convince more people that we do not need the Big Bully! If I am right and it it is not a problem previously encountered it could involve a lot of other computers. The ability to play movies is very important!! Please have a look into this.
