** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: wine

  Using: Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy

After upgrading from Wine 0.9.58 to Wine 0.9.59 this morning, I noticed
that when launching World of Warcraft, WoW sits at the "portal" screen
with no login prompts. This is typical when WoW has trouble contacting
login servers. I tried connecting to battle.net in Starcraft with no
luck either. The result in Starcraft was a black screen with a white
windows mouse cursor. It seems to me any network communication on my
  system through wine stopped working.

+ I've also tried connecting from multiple ISPs at different locations
+ (work, home, campus), the same problem exists.

  Installed: 0.9.59~winehq0~ubuntu~7.10-1
