I'm marking this "Fix released", because it appears to have been fixed during the Hardy cycle.
Yes, a locale (other than "C") should get setup and it appears that this has been fixed now. If you're still experiencing this bug, please try the solution provided at http://www.ubuntugeek.com/how-to-select-and-generate-locales-on-ubuntu.html (editing /var/lib/locales/supported.d/local) or install the required language-pack-XX-base package(s). Please don't hesitate to re-open this bug, in case there's still a problem for you and/or report any other bugs you might find. Thank you. ** Changed in: ubuntu Importance: Undecided => Medium Status: Incomplete => Fix Released -- error when opening the K3b program: "System locale charset is ANSI_X3.4-1968" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/179150 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
