Ok, so unfortunately at this point the upgrade failure appears to be completely unreproducible and I can't find any trace of it in the xorg- driver-fglrx package.
The failure does point to a diversions problem, so it's not a bug in mesa and I'm reassigning; but I'm also dropping this package from the Ubuntu 8.04 milestone - between being unreproducible and not being generally reported, it's not a blocker for the release. ** Changed in: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24 (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: mesa => linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24 Assignee: Steve Langasek (vorlon) => (unassigned) Target: ubuntu-8.04 => None -- Update manager fails - From Gutsy to Hardy Beta https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/208961 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
