Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hal

In latest Ubuntu Hardy (with hal 0.5.11~rc2-1ubuntu6),

If I let my external disk drive or my USB key plugged on shutdown, their
directories (for exemple /media/Linux_Portable) are not removed, and at
restart or when I plug them again, they are mounted in other directories
(for exemple /media/Linux_Portable_). This is a problem for indexing
files on these devices, but not only. It doesn't occurs if I unmount
them.

** Affects: hal (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
