Hi there, This seems to be related to Xrandr failing. Deleting /usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon-2.0/xrandr.gnome-settings-plugin makes the crash go away (at the cost of not being able to set the screen resolution from Gnome). Not sure if this is caused by xserver-xgl or the new proprietary NVIDIA driver.
