I run Kubuntu hardy beta4 on a MacBookPro I get dozens of log messages per second into the ACPI log file:
DCOPClient::attachInternal. Attach failed Could not open network socket ERROR: Couldn't attach to DCOP server! I cleared all sessions as described here, not related to my user: dcop --list-sessions --all-users No effect, still the same.
