Dear Leann, I took my time to test all posible options provided in Hardy, but sorry no positive result.
1)Downloaded 8.04 beta, burned image, disk check ok. 2)Installed it under windows- test installation (after re-install of XP;-( = installation seems to work, during ubuntu reboot the ubuntu logo opening frame freezes. 3)Tried running from live cd= shut down of system during startup. 4)Compleet installation, again shutdown of system. Hoping this info helped in a way.
