I would like to provide additional comments. My original description relates to the usage of "MB" to mean Megabytes in decimal format (1,000 bytes). After further research, I did not know of "MiB" (1,024 bytes) to refer to binary format. Thanks to the popularity of MS Windows, which does not use the standard terminology "MiB" or "GiB" (they always spell out the words "binary", never use the abbreviation).
This is my error. Your decision: to close out this bug report, or, to add a small description stating that "MiB" = 1,024 bytes (to educate the users). -- Incorrect Display of Memory units (GUI) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/211352 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
