same here. I just installed a Samsung CLX-2160 and I don't know if the scanner driver is working properly. HOWEVER, when I start xsane as root (as mentioned in a different report), it does *not* crash. Instead, it reports "no scanner found". That may be a problem with the driver or with xsane, I'm not sure. What's important here: it doesn't crash...
