Rolf, I updated the not-so-on-the-edge-any-longer Gutsy driver on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/XorgOnTheEdge. I haven't seen any relevant changes, but it can be nice to tell upstream that you have tried "latest git" anyway. Although I recommend testing out Hardy which has newer kernel and xorg.
