I'm getting the same problem under Gutsy. Sometimes I get a white screen sometimes only its shadow.
I've attached a screenshot but I'm not sure how helpful that will be as taking screenshots appears to be broken as well. You can see the problem in the part of the rectangle at 735,345 in the image.
