Actually that's good to know - upstream will be interested that the issue still exists in recent git versions, since it'll be something they need to investigate more deeply. It would be good for you to report that to them directly, and attach the new log; seeing proof you're subscribed couldn't hurt either. ;-)
Anyway, agreed, none of the diff looks relevant; nothing changed about the write combining range.
