I think this should have a higher priority, too. I have an ASUS computer, for which there are numerous Hardy sound problems, some of them related to the decision to use pulse, which doesn't work correctly with WINE. These issues are going to be resolved only gradually. The new computers don't have PCMCIA any more, they have those new slots, for which only this card works. Sound isn't an option for me, it's a necessity. I have RMI and use Dragon NaturallySpeaking with WINE to enter text. Getting good sound is my highest priority..
