** Description changed: When external storage is plugged in at shutdown, the mount point folder remains in /media, causing several new mount points to be created. After a few reboots, /media contains something like diskname diskname_ diskname__ diskname___ diskname____ etc. To the best of my knowledge, this started a few days ago with an update. See also http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=745236 A temporary solution is to unmount the drive and delete these folders + before shutdown, but they should be automatically removed by the system before shutdown.
