Public bug reported: I have written a ansi-c program that communicates with a GSM modem. The application consists of 2 threads (pthread), one transmits and the other receives data to/from the modem. The program terminates at once when receiving a character and the system reports "I/O Possible". The application uses the device /dev/ttyACM0 to communicate with a TC63 GSM modem from Siemens.
This problem occurred after upgrading from Ubuntu 6.06 to Ubuntu 7.10. I have also tried running my application with the Ubuntu Hardy Heron Live CD, "I/O Possible" still here! It seems like the problem is related to multi threading, and the upgrading of pthread or libc libraries. Best regards ThomasH ** Affects: glibc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- "I/O Possible" terminates my multithreaded RS232 application https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/211801 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
