Thnks for that. But what if i just want to use my ubuntu as an VDR client over the network. My VDR is installed as a Xen DomU. The Xen server is place in another room. So on the workstation i just want to install xineliboutput-sxfe and libxine-xvdr to comand the vdr over LAN. On my older workstation this works fine (see Post from Marach 20.).
