For me to reproduce it on my computer, I would launch openoffice calc, then I press ctrl-C to copy (it should already be selecting cell A1), then I press ctrl-shift-v (paste special), and I end up with a dialog box without check box/radio buttons (see attached screenshot). There should be some check boxes and radio buttons on the paste special dialog box, but now they are missing.
