I agree this is horrible. I go to smb and ftp locations on the LAN all the time. Is there some way to disable this behavior? I can't imagine anyone wanting this, if your a user that wants these mount point, you will do doubt want them to be persistent; If you are a user that doesn't want them, you do not want to see them at all. I don't see this working well for anyone.
